Brenda Godinez
Why I am dedicated to the Latinx MBA Association
I’ve always felt a deep calling to serve and have always found my way back to the non-profit world. As a Latina, service has always been an integral part of my identity, passed down through generations as a cherished value. Understanding the immense value of education as a vehicle for personal and societal advancement, I embraced the pursuit of my MBA as a means to amplify further my ability to serve others. As a first-generation college graduate, I know firsthand the challenge of overcoming systemic barriers. Despite facing adversity on my educational and professional journey, I have realized the importance of paving the way for others, especially in spaces with limited representation of people of color. I hope to inspire others that obtaining an education is attainable. I also hope to help Latinx professionals achieve their highest potential. As a community, we can be a catalyst for change, breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for the Latinx community to thrive.
