For the next few weeks, we're shining a light on the brilliant minds of our Class of 2026. These are the trailblazers, barrier-breakers, and future leaders of the Latinx business community and we can't wait to introduce them.

Meet Jacqueline Tayra, a first-generation business leader dedicated to expanding access for underserved groups and building inclusive communities. As a Mexican-American whose parents emigrated from Mexico, pursuing an MBA at @chicagobooth was deeply personal.

Access to education transformed her life's trajectory, and her time at Booth allowed her to strengthen her finance acumen, continue breaking barriers, and set an example for future generations of Latinas in business.
Jackie truly left her mark on the ecosystem, serving as a co-chair for three major organizations: @chicagobooth.habsa (Hispanic American Business Student Association), Japan Club, and Partners Club.

Reflecting on her journey, Jackie credits the Latinx MBA Association for making the stressful application process approachable through the generous mentorship of members like Julia Navarro-Sosa and Andrew Mairena. Now, she is ready to pay it forward as she joins our alumni community in California!

Celebrating 6 Years of Impact! 🥳✨

Today, we’re blowing out the candles for the 6 Year Anniversary of the Latinx MBA Association! 🎂

Founded in April 2020, the Latinx MBA Association has been the fastest-growing organization committed to MBA talent development and community. Since then, we have created impactful programming such as the Annual Leadership Summit, Mentorship Program, Prospective MBA Scholarship, City Leads program, and various partnerships that have impacted 1000s of individuals.

Our organization has grown to:

📈 2,400+ members, of which 80% are MBA alumni
📈 Over 180 MBA programs represented
📈 Over 40 events hosted annually, either by us or through our partners

At the end of year, we vote on a new slate of Board of Directors, maintaining some leaders and onboarding new ones from the Associate Board, based on individual contributions throughout the year.
