CEO's Corner - February Reflection

As we step into the second month of 2026, I’m energized by the momentum we’re already building, and January was a powerful way to set the tone for the year ahead.

Earlier this month, I had the privilege of convening with our Board of Directors in Phoenix for our annual Leadership Retreat. Together, we took a thoughtful and forward-looking approach to refining our strategy for 2026; grounded in our mission, informed by what we’ve learned over the past year, and ambitious about what’s possible for our community. We also had a very special guest, Kristin Coleman, join us to share her vast experience in corporate and diversity spaces. These moments of alignment and honest dialogue are essential, and I left Phoenix deeply confident in our direction and leadership.

During the retreat, we were also thrilled to co-host a joint community event with ALPFA Phoenix. It was a fantastic opportunity for local professionals to meet our Board, connect with one another, and engage directly with me about the future of Latinx MBA Association. Building bridges across organizations and cities is core to who we are, and this event was a great example of that in action.

I’m equally excited about our incredible slate of volunteers for 2026. We’re welcoming back many familiar faces who bring continuity and institutional knowledge, alongside new leaders who are stepping up with fresh ideas and energy. The depth of talent and commitment across this group continues to amaze me, and I’m grateful to each of you who have chosen to invest your time and heart in this organization.

We’ve also kicked off planning for our 2026 Leadership Summit earlier than ever before. The team is already hard at work, and we’ll be sharing more details, including a save-the-date, very soon. This is shaping up to be a flagship moment for our community, and I can’t wait to bring it to life with all of you.

Finally, 2026 will be a year of deeper local engagement. We’re placing renewed focus on building out City Committees to create more opportunities for connection, programming, and leadership at the local level. This work is about meeting our members where they are and strengthening the fabric of our community city by city.

Overall, I feel an incredible sense of optimism about where we’re heading. The vision is clear, the leadership is strong, and the community continues to show up with purpose and passion. Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m excited for what we’ll build together in 2026.
